A new mining challenge is already brewing in Peru. After having fully complied with the pollution control systems for the expansion of the Toquepala mine to the South of this country, once again our client Southern Peru entrusts us with an order to supply equipment of this type, to continue with this project that will allow this transnational copper to increase its production capacity to 120,000 MTPD (metric tons per day) of this mineral.

This new engineering and procurement project is specifically part of the expansion work of the concentrator plant of this deposit, which belongs to the international company Southern Copper Corporation (SCC), which stands out as one of the largest integrated copper production companies in the world. It also produces molybdenum, zinc, lead, coal and silver.

The delivery of this equipment is scheduled for the end of February 2018 and the volume of mining, smelting and refining operations of this multinational, which is concentrated in this country and Mexico, is expected to increase considerably.

In this way, SAEG Engineering Group continues to respond diligently to the confidence of our major clients in the mining industry, which is of vital importance for the economy of the South American country.
